The Challenging Part About Speed Dating
♫ March 30th, 2011 8:18 amDating is the first step towards getting to know the person you are interested in. Men and women have a different approach when it comes to dating. Some prefer to make things slow, while others do not want to waste time, especially those individuals who may not have the luxury of going on several dates before finding out if they are actually compatible with that particular individual or not. Because of this, speed dating has become the recent trend in the dating world. The challenging part about speed dating is that you will only have a limited amount of time to impress the girl you are with. This is where the phrase “first impressions last” really applies. There are no second chances. Understand that you are only given a few minutes to leave a lasting impression with the variety of women you are interacting with.
When it comes to speed dating, or even a regular date for that matter, appearance is crucial since it is what your date will notice first. So if you are going on a date, make sure to dress for the occasion. Aside from personal hygiene, which is extremely important, the way you clothe yourself is vital as well. Women tend to study a guy’s clothing style, even the way he styles his hair. Do not fall for that “beauty is only skin deep” babble. Appearance is everything when it comes to first dates, especially in speed dating. That bad boy look only works in the movies. You need to realize that women want men, not 30-year-old guys who act like they just hit puberty.
Aside from clothing, personal hygiene and hair styles, women also study a guy’s body language. Keep in mind that body language is part of the world of communication, so make sure that you do not send the wrong signals to your date. Women have quite a keen eye when it comes to these things. They can easily spot a confident man by the way he handles himself. So even if you are nervous, you should never show it. You should conduct yourself calmly and confidently; but be careful not to come across as arrogant. There is a fine line between confidence and arrogance, and you should never cross that line if you want a second date.
